Description
This cushion is made from an authentic remnant of vintage cotton chintz by the English firm Colefax & Fowler, a textile house founded in the United Kingdom and internationally renowned for its classically inspired decorative fabrics. The design, dating from the late 20th century, features delicate yellow crocuses scattered across a light background dotted with tiny yellow trefoil leaves—a fresh and balanced floral composition.
The fabric is vintage but unused. Due to its age, it has been given a gentle freshening wash, respecting the integrity of the textile while ensuring its preservation.
The interior is lined with coordinating yellow ticking stripe cotton, providing aesthetic coherence and a carefully finished reverse.
Made from a lighter-weight cotton than heavy upholstery fabrics, it offers a soft, natural drape. It is an ideal piece to introduce a delicate and timeless English floral accent into living rooms, bedrooms, or country houses that value textile quality and the charm of historic fabrics.
