Description
This cushion is made from an antique late 18th-century French flammé or ikat fabric, in a combination of indigo and natural tones softened by the passage of time.
Its slightly irregular and faded geometric pattern retains all the beauty of antique, traditionally dyed textiles. The fabric shows small stains, variations in colour and signs of wear, consistent with its age and the natural result of more than two centuries of history.
Far from detracting from its value, these traces are part of the original patina, adding depth, authenticity and character to the piece.
