Description
Who took the bite?
That’s the first question that lingers when your eyes meet the apple—whole and yet interrupted—sitting right at the top of her head.
The second one comes soon after:
What is she thinking?
There’s something beautifully restless in her face. As if she’s solving a quiet riddle or holding onto an unspoken promise. Her eyes tilt upward, lips slightly parted, cheeks blushed—whether from wonder or mischief, who knows?
And then there’s the apple. Green. Glossy. Bitten.
This sculpture by Carmen Roncero doesn’t ask to be explained. It simply asks to be felt. Every detail—each lock of hair, every brushstroke—has been formed by hand and painted with acrylics. There’s no search for symmetry here, only for soul.
