“Pietro Ferro” by José Luis Serzo

The piece combines a human bust with an industrial articulated arm, creating a striking contrast between the organic and the mechanical. A unique work that merges light, sculpture, and narrative, in harmony with the artist’s symbolic and storytelling universe.

The story, symbolically narrated by two rats, follows the life of Pietro Ferro, a man who has spent years trapped in a dull and limited existence, dominated by his mother and by a routine life in a hardware store.

Everything changes when he discovers a book about Blinky Rotred, a character who strives to fulfill his dream of flying and transforming his destiny. This reading awakens in Pietro an inner revelation—a kind of vision that, although initially frightening, shows him his true path.

After a pivotal event that breaks with his previous life (the fire in the hardware store), Pietro frees himself and decides to reinvent his future: he creates a traveling storytelling theatre dedicated to stories about flying, helping others imagine and pursue their own dreams.
