Description
In this work, Iñigo Unzueta once again plays with the juxtaposition of different periods, styles and visual references. Tintin appears within a classical, romantic setting: a garden, a gate and a female figure that seem to belong to another time.
The instantly recognisable character enters the composition accompanied by question marks and musical notes, introducing an almost comic-strip-like element and completely transforming the interpretation of the original scene.
Executed primarily in black against a light background, with subtle touches of gold, the work deliberately retains the appearance of drawing and collage, making visible the encounter between images drawn from different sources.
A work by Iñigo Unzueta with a surreal, playful and slightly irreverent visual language, in which popular culture slips into a classical universe to create an entirely new story. Presented in a black frame.
