Dating from the early 20th century, this antique dressmaker’s mannequin retains all the beauty of professional objects originally created for everyday use and transformed over time into pieces of remarkable decorative presence.
The female torso, with its slender lines and classical proportions, is covered in natural-coloured linen, with visible vertical seams and the small stains, scuffs and irregularities characteristic of its age. The lower section also retains an original stamped inscription, a detail that further enhances its authentic character.
It stands on a slender column terminating in an elegant cast-iron tripod base, whose dark finish contrasts beautifully with the warm, aged tones of the fabric.
