Its body is handmade using 19th-century French fabrics from liturgical vestments, combined with antique fur and other carefully assembled textile elements.

The wear, small tears, variations in tone and marks found throughout the materials are an essential part of the piece. Rather than being concealed, these traces of time are incorporated into the work, adding depth, texture and a sense of accumulated history.

The result is an enigmatic and majestic sculpture, somewhere between a found object, a textile creation and a collectible figure.

A unique piece in which materials from a former life take on a new identity, while preserving the beauty of their patina and imperfections.

Escultura contemporánea de gato realizada artesanalmente por Suzanne McRae con tejidos y materiales antiguos.
